Booking, Cancellation & Payment Policy

By completing a reservation at Sunset View Boutique Suites, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following policies.

1. Reservations & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure and confirm the reservation.
  • Reservations are not confirmed until payment has been successfully completed.
  • A valid credit card is required for booking and for any incidental charges during the stay.
  • Payments cover the reserved accommodation period, not the actual number of nights stayed.

Payment Processing & Bank Fees

  • All bank fees, credit card processing fees, international transfer charges, and currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the guest.
  • In the event of a refund (when applicable), any non-recoverable bank or payment processing fees will be deducted from the refunded amount.

2. Local Accommodation / Climate Resilience Tax

  • In accordance with Greek law, a Climate Resilience Tax (Τέλος Ανθεκτικότητας στην Κλιματική Κρίση) is applied per night, per accommodation unit.
  • This tax is not included in the accommodation price and is payable at the property during check-in or check-out.
  • The amount is determined by government regulations and may change without prior notice.

3. Cancellation Policy

High Season (June 1 – August 31)

  • All reservations are strictly non-refundable.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations, no-shows, early departures, shortened stays, or unused nights.
  • Date changes are not permitted.

Standard Season (September 1 – May 31)

  • Free full refund for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.
  • No refunds for no-shows, early departures, shortened stays, or unused nights.
  • Date changes are subject to availability and at the discretion of the hotel.

Early departures or unused nights after check-in are non-refundable, regardless of reason.

Due to the boutique nature of the property and limited availability, cancelled reservations cannot be reliably re-sold on short notice.

4. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
  • Late check-out without prior approval may result in additional charges.
  • Late arrivals must be arranged in advance.
  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.

5. Property Rules & Guest Conduct

  • Adults-oriented property — guests must be 15 years or older
  • No parties, events, or gatherings
  • No pets allowed
  • Only registered guests are permitted on the property
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Guests must behave respectfully toward staff and other guests

Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate eviction without refund.

6. Private Pool & Balcony Policy

  • Pool hours: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM (daily maintenance after 8:00 PM)
  • Guests must be 15 years or older
  • No diving or running
  • Alcohol consumption is not permitted in or around the pool area or on balconies.
  • No glass items are permitted in or around the pool area or on balconies
  • Food, drinks, or any substances that contaminate or excessively dirty the pool are strictly prohibited.
  • If the pool requires additional cleaning due to guest misuse (including spilled drinks, food, or debris), a cleaning fee of €260 will be charged.

For safety and hygiene reasons, all pool and balcony rules must be strictly followed.

7. Smoking, Cooking & Safety

  • Non-smoking property
  • Smoking inside rooms or indoor areas may result in a cleaning fee
  • Cooking appliances are not permitted inside guest rooms
  • Open flames, candles, or unsafe electrical devices are strictly prohibited

Violations may result in additional charges or immediate termination of stay without refund.

8. Damages & Additional Charges

  • Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Cleaning, repair, or replacement costs may be charged based on the extent of damage or additional cleaning required

9. Liability

  • The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by proven negligence
  • Guests are responsible for securing their valuables at all times

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Guest personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws
  • Personal information is used solely for reservation management, communication, and operational purposes

11. Force Majeure / Exceptional Circumstances

In cases of extraordinary events such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure situations, the hotel reserves the right to review reservations on a case-by-case basis.

12. Agreement

By completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to all hotel policies, including payment terms, cancellation conditions, processing fees, and house rules.
